The house was perfect for our family. Everything was clean and fresh. Its close to the beach and 2 golf carts are provided, which is a big help. The check in and out was easy. We can't wait to go back.

Great property for a large family. Bunk room was fun and cute for our grandchildren and the ‘every bedroom has its own bath ‘ was perfect for the grownups. The dining table sat 10 with the extra leaf plus the kitchen was large enough for multiple cooks to function.

The kids especially loved the screened porch with its own tv and lounge furniture. The location was super convenient and having two golf cars kept us from having to make multiple trips to an from the beach and pools. We enjoyed it very much.

Last week marked my fourth consecutive summer, vacationing on Fripp Island with college friends and family. Some of our "group" which can total 50+ over a two week period have stayed at Bonito Boathouse in the past, and a few have been visiting Fripp for the last 10-12 years. Michele and her family are very easy to work with...a key to planning, since I personally travel from CA, while others voyage from TN, NC, and SC. Michele is responsive and does her part in coordination.

The location is ideal. The property sits back from the main road that leads to the boat ramp and Bonito Grill. In fact, the boat house and store is less than a quarter mile from the property - which makes morning runs for ice and bait extremely convenient. The main events center and pool is only a mile away in the other direction. The property comes with two golfs carts - extremely convenient, since two families (or partial families) will often split a residence...and like to have the flexibility to do their own thing from time to time. The house and amenities leave you not to "want" during your stay. In other words, Michele "gets it". It's equipped with everything you need, including beach towels; a washer/dryer; kitchen appliances; large dinning table; and even televisions in every room (including the screened in porch); a nice yard where deer visit almost daily from the surrounding wooded area. I personally took advantage of the outdoor shower. It's a large privacy shower with hot/cold water and very good water pressure.

The beds are comfortable and rooms are sizable with nice, in suite bathrooms. There's a 1/2 bath downstairs off the living area which affords guests a restroom without having to enter any bedrooms.

I'm sure someone from our group will rent this property again, when we return for our annual, summer reunion on Fripp Island. Please take good care and keep it pristine for the next time :). Michele will go out of her way to ensure your visit is memorable.

The house is at a great location between the beach access and the marina. The pool at the marina was nice because it was less crowded and more relaxed. The screened in porch with the tv and the two golf carts that were provided with the house were a big hit. The only inconvenience that we had was with the bath towels. There were only two sets per shower and had to wash them every day to have fresh sets for everyone. Other than that the stay was great!

This house has a very homey feel. I traveled with 7 families and this house was the best of all the rentals. Lots of decks and porch space

The screened back porch even has it's own Smart TV . A large backyard is another bonus when you have children.

Every bedroom has it's own bathroom, such a nice plus.

The master bed is to die for. Sleeps so good. The kitchen is well appointed and easy for multiple people to move about in.

Another benefit to this property is that its isolated yet in close proximity to everything. Its location on a bend keeps it quiet from any neighbors.

The golf carts are well maintained and do not "I think I can" chug along like some.

We had a flat. It was fixed within a couple hours. The owner is quick to respond to requests.

I highly recommend this property.

We love Fripp Island and have returned for several years, staying at different houses each time. So far, this house is our favorite. It easily accommodated our 9-person extended family with a layout convenient for our two families and one grandparent. It was easy for all of us to gather in the family/dining/kitchen area, but it was equally easy to find a spot to yourself. The kids really enjoyed the bunk room and the open space it offered to 4 kids staying in one room. The TV on the porch was used often and was a favorite of the kids and adults alike. The variety of books available to read and the movies to watch was great. Everyone really enjoyed the outside shower, it was private and proved to be the perfect way for the kids to shower before coming into the house. The fact that each bedroom had a bathroom associated with it was fantastic and the half bath on the main floor was very convenient. The kitchen provided adequate space for a week's worth of food and the refrigerator and pantry were large enough to hold everything we needed. There were plenty of dishes, utensils and cookware in a kitchen that comfortably fit 2-3 people at a time. There were a few knives available for chopping, but larger jobs, such as cutting a watermelon or a large loaf of bread proved a little challenging (only a minor inconvenience). We really loved the decorations and the warm colors of the walls, especially the small touches like the shiplap walls. Our only suggestion would be a fresh coat of interior paint at the beginning of the season as most of the walls had scuff marks or hand prints on them, but that would not affect our desire to stay at this house in the future.

The only real hiccup we experienced was related to the golf carts that come with the house (a feature we really appreciated!). The golf carts available for use with the house are not the same ones pictured on the website and both had worn tires on them. One afternoon, we experienced flat tires on both golf carts, serendipitously within 15 minutes of each other, but Michele and Scott were able to arrange for both tires to be replaced the next morning. This kept us from enjoying our one of our nightly golf cart rides around the island, but we took the opportunity to play some games at the large dining room table and everyone had fun anyway. Overall, the house is wonderful, well appointed and all of us were comfortable. Thank you, Michele and Scott!

 

 

Amazingly relaxing vacation

We had an amazing time! We had never been to Fripp, and Michele helped answer any questions that we had. She also quickly addressed any questions that I had while on the island - she made everything easy. She even sent back a few DVDs that the kids had left.

The house was great for us - the kids loved the bunk room and screened in porch with TV. There were several DVDs and a whole bookshelf of books and games if you needed them. The beds were comfy, kitchen was stocked, there was a charcoal grill, and we didn't want for anything. The golf carts really made the trip. We loved using them to get everywhere on the island.

Fripp was perfect for what we needed. We only left the island twice to go to Hunting Island State Park and to check out the surrounding area/eat out. The kids really enjoyed seeing all the wildlife and going to the nature/activity center on Fripp. There was plenty to keep us entertained. We also got to see the amazing sunsets each night at the beach, pool, or pier - not to be missed! We had a fantastic vacation and would absolutely recommend this house.
